Poker online – Rake

The rake is the money that goes to the house, in other words the poker room there you playing. The rake charge is not universal, it’s changing between different poker rooms. But the normal rake is about 5-10%. If it’s a lot higher you may consider looking for another place to play.

You shouldn’t feel cheated by this, a 90-95% keeping of the total bets is far better then in most other gambling forms.

I don’t want to recommend some specific poker rooms in this matter, but if you check out the reviews on this site you will find all details you need.

Some poker rooms lets you slip away completely from the rake when you’re playing on so-called micro limits – games with very low stakes. Theirs is a second way to decrease your rake, this is called rakeback and will be treated in the next article.
